I searched back in my pictures because I was pretty convinced this shirt had sleeves at one point in time. The pic on the left was taken before my very first course that I taught in September 2015. Three months after my second figure show, the one where I placed the best. I had actually gained some weight by this point, around 4 pounds or so. When I found this pic, I was shocked at how I was so skinny. At the time, I didn't think I was. I thought I was healthy. Fast forward to this past weekend...12 pounds heavier than the pic on the right. Even though I look like I ate my former self, I'm stronger, healthier and at a weight that's actually sustainable. Seeing the number on the scale totally messes with my head sometimes. But seeing these pictures side by side and reflecting on the enormous changes that have occurred between them, both mentally and physically, makes those extra pounds seem like less of a big deal. Don't be afraid to eat or to see the number on that scale go up... do it so your cap sleeve shirts become sleeveless. 😆💪If you don't know where to start, reach out to a nutrition coach. Well guys, I’m spending my last day in my 20’s riding the ambulance for 24 hours! Tomorrow when I wake up at work, I’ll be the big 3-0😢
The past 10 years have flown by so fast! I can’t believe that I’m no longer the young, spry Anna I used to be!😭
For those who don’t really know me, here’s a little look back into my 20’s...
• When I turned 22 I got engaged and married that same year
• The year I turned 23 I decided to change my lifestyle and lost 81lbs in 1 year
• I got hired as a career firefighter/EMT when I was 23 and turned 24 nine days after the academy started
• At 25 and 3 years of marriage, I split up with my husband and we filed for divorce
• 26 was a crazy year filled with a new relationship, drama, getting transferred from my first assignment to day work and getting hurt at work
• 27 was much better! I left Hyattsville and transferred to 42. I also started crossfit and fell in love with it!
• Soon after turning 28 the toxic relationship I was in ended and I was single and enjoying life without a care in the world! But towards the end of the year I ended up meeting the love of my life🖤 And I also got Brinkley!
• 29 has been pretty good to me! I had so much fun. Went to so many concerts & festivals, went on vacations, enjoyed many brunches & late night talks over wine, did some crossfit competitions, learned to love myself no matter how I looked, and learned from many mistakes made!
I also made the big decision to start medic school and move in with my boyfriend!
So now I’m going into my 30’s and hoping to make it my best year yet! I see big changes ahead and I’m super excited to see what’s to come!

I spent the entire day sleeping and resting and I feel like that is exactly what my body needs right now. Not being able to work out already sucks buuut I‘ll focus on stretching and foam rolling this week and will go for some walks outside to make sure my wound can heal properly before being back to intense workouts.🙊🏋🏼♂️
